STATIC DESIGN

MOTION-GRAPHICS
What is it you say? Think of graphic design but animated. Whether it is brand design elements for your website, animated Gifs for presentation, infographics, title sequences, or end cards, we make it move.
2D + 3D
2D animation is the art movement in two-dimensional space. This includes illustrated artwork, characters, objects, abstract forms, landscapes, etc. 3D animation works with dimensional space and objects. Notably, 3D animation can create both abstract graphics and photo-real visuals.

PRODUCTION
PROCESS
Production is complicated, full of jargon, and has many small steps before the project is ready to ship. We’ve made this abbreviated map of the animation production process to share with you.
Hopefully, it helps illuminate the fundamental phases of making the magic.

DISCOVERY
We’ll meet with your team to review the brief, discuss challenges, and set goals. We determine production needs, develop a strategic position, and do additional research.

DEVELOPMENT
Here we build on the brief and discovery to lay the foundation of your idea. This is often accompanied by a pitch presentation, visual reference, concept design, and scriptwriting.

PRE-VIS
Pre-Visualization establishes the structure and narrative of the story. We’ll do storyboards, block out scenes and transitions, and build a rough animatic to dial in pace and timing.

ANIMATION
Where the project begins to move and come to life, here, we’ll model and rig scenes, animate in passes, turn on lights and textures, and refine until the story feels just right.

FINISHING
Finally, we make final adjustments to color, mix audio, render out final assets, and give it one last buff with the ol’ polishing cloth before we deliver.
